CDC Global Services, a wholly-owned unit of CDC Corp. (CHINA: News ) said it has executed a term sheet with the Nanjing High-Tech Zone to acquire a 35% stake,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with an option for up to a 51% stake, in Sowell, that is expected to help fuel CDC Global Services' rapid expansion in the growing IT outsourcing or ITO services market in China.
The company said it expects this planned acquisition to serve as the launch pad for expanding its IT/R&D outsourcing capabilities in China to serve its global clients. The acquisition of this interest in Sowell is subject to several customary closing conditions, including the satisfactory completion of due diligence by CDC Global Services.
